The HPI Mini Recon 1/18 scale RC monster truck is an interesting and affordable smalelr scale model that comes pretty well equipped by default and at a really attractive price, so it is a great choice especially for people that are getting their first RC model. The good thing about the Mini Recon is that it can also be upgraded easily to a brushless motor and LiPo batteries for some extra performance and longer run times, and you are not required to do the upgrade right from the start... you can easily do it after you get the hang of driving the Mini Recon and decide you want more for it.

We have already done a brushless conversion of the HPI Mini Recon by replacing the stock brushed motor with a brushless one, the stock ESC with a one capable of working with a brushless motor and making the RC vehicle work with LiPo batteries. Furthermore we have additionally provided extra waterproof protection for the new electronic components installed in the RC veicle, so that it can be driven out in the cold and snow winter weather.
