Avid Ceramic ball bearings offer unique low friction racing experience for your car. They use silicone nitride ceramic balls enclosed in high quality steel/chrome bearings and are offered in few modifications:

• Metal shielded - this type has the lowest friction of all and good protection, but it is not protected well from dirt and very small particles, except when you cover it with grease;
• Revolutions style - this type of bearing still has the rubber seal to protect it from harm on one of its sides, while the other side has low friction metal shield;
• Rubber sealed - although these bearings have a bit higher friction compared to metal-ceramic bearings and Revolution bearings, they are well protected and still offer slight gain in terms of friction compared to regular all-metal bearings.
